Lake Oswego Club FIRST in Oregon to Offer Virtual Fitness System

$1 Million Renovation completed at Mountain Park Racquet & Fitness Club

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. - November 20, 2019 - (Newswire.com)

Mountain Park Racquet & Fitness Club (MPRC), a local leader in the tennis and fitness industry for over 46 years, completed a one million dollar renovation this month. The newly redesigned tennis and fitness club features digitally-integrated fitness equipment, new functional training space, new pickleball courts, resurfaced tennis courts and new court lighting. The lobby, member service desk and locker rooms underwent a full renovation.

A new 3,500 square foot fitness area has added state-of-the-art cardio, strength and functional fitness equipment, including an Aktiv Virtual® workout bay, a TRX functional training zone and Precor® cardio equipment. Large screen televisions, an enhanced sound system, resurfaced tennis courts and new court lighting add to the upgrade.

MPRC is the first in Oregon to offer the Aktiv Virtual® workout system. The digitally integrated system allows our guests to select highly personalized workouts including equipment selection, intensity, and even their own real-time coach. It pairs seamlessly with wireless earbuds and integrates wearables for real-time biometrics.

America’s fastest-growing sport, pickleball, is now a part of MP’s club facilities. Six indoor and four outdoor pickleball courts are now available, along with a pickleball pro offering lessons, clinics and open play.

A mid-century modern design was incorporated in the lobby and tennis viewing areas to give a fresh and clean look while providing new comfortable furniture for members and guests to gather. Along with becoming larger and more inviting, the remodeled service desk will now offer members and guests a wide selection of food and beverage options including wine and beer on tap.

“Our investment is a commitment to providing the best in tennis, fitness and sports,” says Mike Gaffaney, General Manager. “We are always looking for how we can improve and implement cutting-edge programs and equipment for our members.” Since opening its doors in 1973, Mountain Park has had the long-standing reputation as the go-to tennis facility with unmatched staff expertise and a member-centered community. The major renovation will continue the clubs legacy driven by a passion for tennis and fitness and a commitment to community members.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m., Friday, Nov. 22 at Mountain Park Racquet & Fitness Club, 3 Botticelli St., Lake Oswego, OR 97035. Light hors d’oeurves, beer & wine, music and prizes to follow. Please RSVP by contacting Johanna at Johanna.Zimbelman@northp.com
