Omaha Marriott Downtown Expands with New Event Space

The Omaha Marriott Downtown at the Capitol District celebrates its two-year anniversary with the expansion of its newest catering event space, The Gallery. The Gallery is a modern event venue designed with the creative client in mind. Built for customization, the new event space can accommodate weddings, corporate events, and other gatherings and celebrations. The venue’s simplistic design allows the client a blank canvas in creating a memorable experience.

The Gallery is located in The Capitol District, Omaha’s only destination dining and entertainment district surrounding a modern town square. The space features white gallery walls, exposed ceilings, polished concrete floors and an outdoor patio space. In addition to state-of-the-art sound, cutting edge technology, mood lighting, and ample natural light, it also has a built-in rigging system, allowing for added design elements to be installed with ease without losing floor space. At nearly 2,500 square feet, the venue is ideal for seated events of up to 140 people and can accommodate a standing cocktail reception for up to 250 people.

The new space is a direct result of the demand the hotel has seen for events of all sizes and experiences. “Since opening, two years ago, we have strived to be Omaha’s premier event and meeting destination,” said Omaha Marriott Downtown General Manager Steve Hilton. “This event space will allow us to extend our clientele and best utilize the creative talents of our culinary and events team.”

The Gallery is just one step the hotel is taking to further serve its guests just two years after opening. Additionally, the Omaha Marriott Downtown recently incorporated a private dining element to the in-house restaurant, Society 1854, allowing Chef John Engler and his gifted team the opportunity to provide guests with customized chef’s dinners, cocktail classes, and personalized dining experiences.
