This Indiana investor expanding to Columbus attracts Silicon Valley eyes to the Midwest – but not the ones you'd think

Heartland Ventures, founded three years ago in South Bend, Indiana, has opened a Columbus office. It's investing from its first $15 million fund in coastal startups rather than Midwest ones, but helping expose large Midwest companies to those emerging technologies.
