U.S. Xpress’ Award-Winning Leadership Development Program ‘Xpress Path’ Welcomes New Class

U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: USX), the nation’s fifth largest asset-based truckload carrier by revenue, welcomes the fourth class to participate in its award-winning leadership development program Xpress Path, formerly known as Xpress Elite. This year’s class is composed of three professionals: Fleet Manager Hunter Brittingham, who has been with U.S. Xpress in Operations for over two years, United States Marine Corps veteran Christopher Porter, and United States Marine Corps Sergeant Ian Sanford.

Xpress Path is an 18-month-long program designed to develop high-potential employees by providing training on business challenges to propel them into leadership roles within the company. Each Xpress Path class is composed of participants from across the country who rotate through multiple positions and departments within the company during their program tenure.

“Much like our revolutionary Professional Driver Development program, and our first-of-its-kind college scholarship program Full Ride, Xpress Path is another example of how U.S. Xpress is investing in its employees for long-term success,” commented Amanda Thompson, Senior Vice President of Human Resources of U.S. Xpress. “We are proud to be a company that supports the development of our people, both those that are new to the industry and those that have helped us get where we are today.”

“As U.S. Xpress continues to transform from a privately owned entrepreneurial culture to a public entity that takes a more coordinated approach to management, we think investing in our people with programs like Xpress Path will create the right mix of leadership skills and talents to help execute our vision for years to come,” said Eric Fuller, President and CEO of U.S. Xpress.

Started in 2016, Xpress Path has successfully graduated a total of 12 individuals across three classes, with nine graduates now employed in leadership roles within U.S. Xpress. In 2017, Xpress Path was awarded HR.com’s LEAD Award for innovation in deployment of leadership programs.
