When the driver of the car the passengers were riding was at fault, passengers can file a claim against the driver’s car insurance company to get compensation for any medical expenses. However, there are special rules when the passenger is related to the driver of the car. The insurance policy may not cover any injuries for such a case.
If the driver of the other car was at fault, passengers can claim compensation from that driver’s insurance company.
