Plastic Surgeon In Newport Beach Offers New Implants For Breast Augmentation

Aaron Kosins MD, a plastic surgeon Newport Beach residents have come to trust, has announced that he is able to provide new implants for his breast augmentation procedures. He is very excited to provide Natrelle® breast implants to his patients. He points out that these breast implant devices have only recently become available to U.S. plastic surgeons. Because no two women are the same, the Natrelle® Gel has several sizes and projections but all are designed to provide that soft feel.

Dr. Kosins himself says, "Breast surgery is a very large part of my Plastic Surgery practice. Excellent surgery of the breast begins with an understanding of what a beautiful breast looks like. While surgery and techniques can be taught to anyone during their surgical training, I am not sure that the concept of a pretty looking breast can. It has been my experience that different women have very different ideas of what they would like their breasts to look like after surgery. My number one goal is to understand your preferences in terms of size, incision placement, and overall look of the breast including upper pole fullness, cleavage and nipple position. Once I understand my patient’s ideal breast, we can discuss the possibilities of what can be done and how to achieve our goals."

Dr. Kosins adds, "I am pleased to offer Natrelle® as part of my ongoing pursuit of excellent results for my patients."

In the procedure for breast augmentation Newport Beach CA residents can undergo, Dr. Kosins makes use of a procedure for enlarging breast size. He notes that this is one of the most popular procedures in the United States. This is achieved by using saline or silicone implants that are usually placed below the muscle of the chest wall. However, Dr. Kosins wants to emphasize that putting such an implant will have little effect in changing breast shape or the nipple-areola position. He also wants to point out that by applying the most up-to-date techniques and technologies, patients can often return to their usual social activities the same night as the breast augmentation procedure.

For the first breast augmentation procedure, Dr. Kosins explains that there are many important decisions to be made that will affect the patient's breasts for the rest of her life. His goal is to achieve optimal breast shape and size while also taking into account what the patient's tissues will allow him to do. Maximum implant coverage with breast tissue is of utmost importance, as well as an in-depth discussion on how the implants will affect the patient's overlying breast tissue. A patient's breasts can accommodate certain shapes and sizes of implants depending on the patient's breast envelope and tissue quality. He warns that going beyond those limits can "breast handicap" the patient for life.

Dr. Kosins explains, "Incision location can be inframammary (below the breast), peri-areolar (around the areola) or axillary (in the armpit). I simply do not use the belly button approach because it has the least control of the breast pocket and the least reliable result. Each incision has its advantages and disadvantages that we can go over during your consultation. Overall, pocket control is the most important part of your augmentation. I want to make sure that the incision allows meticulous dissection and optimal sterility. This is what will allow you to return to normal social activities the same day as your surgery."

The plastic surgeon points out that for most women, the implant is placed under the muscle in a "dual-plane" manner. This is because it permits optimal coverage of the implant and protects the patient' overlying breast tissue. The last important decision to make is whether to use silicone or saline implants. He has experience in both and he usually makes the choice with the help of the patient.

The plastic surgeon's website has several testimonials from patients. One example is from Samantha B. With regards to her breast augmentation, she says, "I am so happy with the results. Dr Kosins helped me achieve exactly the look I was going for. People are always shocked when I tell them my breasts are not natural."

Dr. Aaron Kosins graduated from the University of California where he studied Business Administration while undertaking his Pre-Med qualifications. He finished his dual Medical Degree (M.D.) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Entrepreneurship at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine and Paul Merage School of Business, respectively.
