Each incision has its advantages and disadvantages that we can go over during your consultation. Overall, pocket control is the most important part of your augmentation. I want to make sure that the incision allows meticulous dissection and optimal sterility. This is what will allow you to return to normal social activities the same day as your surgery."
The plastic surgeon points out that for most women, the implant is placed under the muscle in a "dual-plane" manner. This is because it permits optimal coverage of the implant and protects the patient' overlying breast tissue. The last important decision to make is whether to use silicone or saline implants.
