Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority Locks Down on Web Security

The Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority (BRRJA) has transferred its website to a new environment hosted by Richmond, Virginia based e-government specialists, Virginia Interactive (VI). The new hosting environment offers security that far exceeds what was previously utilized by the BRRJA. This is a first-time partnership between the two organizations.

Formed in 1994, and located in Lynchburg, Virginia, the primary mission of the Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority is to support the criminal justice system by operating its centers in a manner that produces a safe and secure environment for the public, staff, and inmates.

“After an impressive presentation to our staff by (Virginia Interactive president) Travis Sarkees, and an informational meeting with members of his staff, it took very little time to determine that VI was the host we wanted,” said Tim Trent, an administrator with BRRJA. “VI's knowledge and security measures are second to none.
