The Gates Foundation is now one of Berkshire's largest shareholders

The organization run by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and his wife Melinda has a more than 5% stake in Berkshire Hathaway after the latest annual donation by Warren Buffett. The charity will donate nearly all of it in the next three years.
