Quench Wellness™ was founded by Dr. Chantale Stephens-Archer and Dr. Gameli Dekayie-Amenu in 2017, physicians who met 15 years ago as pre-med students at the University of Chicago. Their personal and professional lives have remained intertwined through the years. They have taken their skills as physicians beyond the walls of the hospitals and clinics, utilizing a larger platform to engage and empower their clients/patients alike. They have founded and are partners of BestiesMD, which utilizes social media, articles, blogs and speaking engagements to dispense women's health medical information in a relatable way. They have written articles for EBONY magazine, BlackDoctor.org and Empire Life Magazine just to name a few. They have also been guest speakers at the Black Women's Expo, New Life Covenant Church, Procter & Gamble's My Black is Beautiful and Rush University Medical Center. Most recently, the physicians partnered to start the Medical Mavens Mentorship Pipeline Program that mentors young women who aspire to be physicians. Medical Mavens equips young women with skill sets required to efficiently navigate their professional journeys in medicine, from high school to practice. There is strong focus on academic skills, community service and fostering sisterhood between prospective and practicing physicians. The program runs in partnership with the University of Chicago Charter School and Loyola University Medical Center. Quench Wellness™ represents another opportunity to extend the reach of health education and empowerment.
