Civitas Solutions Announces Acquisition of Creative Connections, Inc.

Civitas Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: CIVI) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Creative Connections, Inc. (“CCI”), a Bakersfield, CA provider of community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Like Civitas’ Family Home Agency (FHA) program in California, CCI specializes in matching adult individuals in need of support with nurturing caregivers interested in welcoming a person with a disability into their private homes. CCI carefully screens, monitors, and supports each caregiver, and seeks to create meaningful and long-lasting relationships based on the social and personal interests of the individuals served and the caregivers, as well as the clinical and vocational needs and objectives of those supported through the program.

In addition to its FHA program, CCI operates two specialized, small community residences for individuals with more significant medical challenges. In total, the agency supports approximately 120 adults and employs about 50 individuals on its staff. For the 12-month period prior to the acquisition, CCI generated revenues of approximately $5.8 million.
