In trading on Thursday, non-precious metals & non-metallic mining shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 2.1%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Gerdau (GGB), down about 12.6% and shares of Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (SID) off about 9.7% on the day.
