Nebraska Government Websites Awarded for Excellence

The awards continue to come in for Nebraska government websites, adding to the list of accolades acquired in 2018.

This week has been a busy week for the state agencies of Nebraska. The Department of Motor Vehicles website has won an American Web Design Award from Graphic Design USA, a 2018 Communicator Awards of Excellence in the category of Government Websites from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts and a 2018 Communicator Awards of Distinction in the category of Government Websites. The Attorney General’s Protect the Good Life has won a 2018 Communicator Award of Excellence in the category of Social Responsibility for websites. The Nebraska State Website won a 2018 Communicator Award of Excellence and a 2018 Award of Distinction in the category of Government websites. Rounding out the winners for this week the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources claims a 2018 Communicator Awards of Distinction in the category of Government Websites.

“Collaborating with Nebraska agencies, counties and municipalities, is what we do,” said Brent Hoffman, General manager of Nebraska Interactive. “The team focuses on organizing the content and presenting it in a mobile responsive website which will serve its target audience the best. The real prize is when the website analytics show us that the website is more effective and easier to use. Getting people to the content they need is our goal. The awards reflect that hard work. We are grateful to be recognized.”

Website competitions judge thousands of entries. The Communicator Awards receives over 6,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world. Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) which now includes a 100,000 visitor-a-month website, a monthly e-newsletter, and a digital version of the magazine judges several national design competitions that culminate in Annuals showcasing the best in Graphic Design, Inhouse Design, Web Design, Package Design, Healthcare Design, and Digital Design.
