The American Health Council welcomes Angela Quinn, BA, MCP, MSN, NP-BC, to its Nursing Board.

NEW YORK, NY, January 18, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The American Health Council welcomes Angela Quinn, BA, MCP, MSN, NP-BC, to its Nursing Board. She is the proud owner of Mobile Skin Screening LLC., a mobile skin screening service that provides skin cancer screenings and dermatology services in the privacy of a patient's residence or workplace. She has given five years of her service in dermatology and has been running her business for over a year. She prides herself on being thorough, educating people about skin cancer prevention, and taking her time when it comes to caring for her patients.

A scholar of many institutes, Ms. Angela Quinn began her education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she earned her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Economics in 2000. She was awarded a full-tuition scholarship and stipend at the University of Cincinnati where she earned her graduate degree in Community Planning. After working some time in her fields of study, Ms. Quinn decided to pursue her passion for healthcare and began taking classes to apply to MSN programs. Ms. Quinn was accepted to Vanderbilt University where she earned her Master's in Nursing degree and her Nurse Credentialing Board Certification in 2012.

Ms. Quinn routinely travels to her patients to perform dermatological services that include total body skin exams, treatments for alopecia, actinic keratosis, skin cancer, skin tags, xanthelasma, dermatosis papulosa nigra, and seborrheic keratosis. She also performs skin cancer screenings at corporate health fairs. She regularly attends community health and wellness fairs and is a speaker at various City of Phoenix Community Senior Centers where she educates people on skin cancer prevention and promotes her business.

Angela Quinn has been the recipient of many impressive awards over the duration of her studies and career. Such honors include the Nightingale Award for MSN Students, the Valere Potter Scholarship, the Inez Bramley Scholarship, and the Albert C. Yates Fellowship. She was also placed on the President's Honor List for her academic excellence, awarded the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, and became a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Ms. Quinn served honorably in the United States Air Force and was stationed both stateside and overseas. While on active duty, Ms. Quinn was awarded the National Defense Medal, the Air Force Achievement Medal, and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. Ms. Quinn also served in the United States Air Force Reserves as a medical technician in which she provided care to active duty and military veterans.

To improve her community, Ms. Angela Quinn involves herself in a number of charitable organizations involving veteran's groups, local women's groups, food pantries and homeless shelters. She is also a member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the American Nurses Association, Doximity, and the American Health Information Management Association. She would eventually like to begin mentoring future Nurse Practitioners who are interested in Dermatology.

In her spare time, Ms. Angela Quinn enjoys watching documentaries, dining out with friends and family, exercising regularly, hiking, and traveling.
