Federman & Sherwood Investigates Alteryx, Inc. Relating to a Data Breach

The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Alteryx, Inc. (NYSE: AYX) relating to the alleged data breach which exposes information on 123 million American households.

Alteryx is an online marketing and analytics firm. According to UpGuard’s cyber risk research director, he discovered an Alteryx database which contained personal information for just about every single household in the United States at the time of the database's creation in 2013. In the Alteryx database, the file contains 123 million rows of data which listed address, phone number, number of children living in the household, among other personal information. While the database does not include individual names, it does contain a level specific enough to be dangerous.

A central component of Alteryx’s database was titled “Consumer View” which was provided by Experian. Experian supplied the database, and Alteryx failed to secure it.

If you have a household, your information probably was exposed by Alteryx.
