ILLINOIS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS THE FIRST TO “SOUND OFF”

The Illinois Chamber of Commerce website is the first site to host Reboot Illinois’ citizen activation tool, “Sound Off”

PRLog - Oct. 7, 2013 - CHICAGO -- The Illinois Chamber of Commerce is the first organization to host and utilize Reboot Illinois’ citizen activation tool, Sound Off, on its website. Sound Off instantly connects concerned citizens with their Illinois elected officials on a variety of current issues facing the state.

The Sound Off tool can be found and launched from Chamber website’s home page or its Government Affairs page.  Once clicked, the Sound Off tool presents several key reform topics from which readers can choose. Once a topic is selected, an email with suggested language about that specific issue displays, the message then can be sent directly to state politicians. The email will be sent to the Illinois governor, state senate president, house speaker, senate and house minority leaders, and the individual user’s state senator and state representative. After sending, citizens can share their “Act” via Facebook, Twitter or email to urge their family, friends, neighbors and co-workers, to do the same and speak up.

“Sound Off connects concerned citizens directly with their politicians. It uniquely empowers users by giving everyone a stronger voice in our government. Reboot Illinois is pleased the Illinois Chamber of Commerce has joined us in our mission to better our state government,” said Madeleine Doubek, chief operating officer of Reboot Illinois. “Sound Off enables citizen action at the height of concern and allows the people’s voices to be heard. In partnering with the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, the people’s voice is louder than ever and our impact on our government will be greater.”

Reboot Illinois is dedicated to helping citizens understand and retake ownership of Illinois government. Through non-partisan digital and social media, Reboot Illinois explains tough topics. Taxes, corruption, the pension crisis and more are examined in one place and are amplified with Sound Off.
