The Centers Selects Netsmart to Enhance Person-Centered Care Delivery in Arkansas

The Centers, a non-profit mental and behavioral health provider, has selected the Netsmart CareFabric® platform to help enhance clinical, financial and operational efficiencies across the organization’s five facilities in Arkansas. Through this collaboration, Netsmart will equip The Centers with the technology and tools designed to support delivery of comprehensive, integrated care to the individuals and families they serve.

The Centers will utilize myAvatar™, an ONC-certified electronic health record (EHR) specifically built for enhanced user experience, leveraging near real-time analytics and clinical decision support to drive value-based care. By integrating the Netsmart comprehensive suite of solutions, The Centers aims to optimize care delivery and drive positive outcomes for each individual it serves.

The organization offers an array of services including therapeutic communities, outpatient counseling, residential treatment, foster care, prevention services, primary care and 24/7 crisis services for children and adults. As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) expansion awardee, The Centers will use technology to enhance interoperability, care coordination and streamline key performance metrics (KPIs). These metrics are aligned with CCBHC quality standards and evidence-based practices that assist with meeting the program's federal and state-level requirements.

“We are pleased to be working alongside Netsmart and believe that the integrated platform will equip us to meet CCBHC requirements, enhance reporting capabilities and track outcomes holistically,” said The Centers President & CEO Melissa Dawson. “The cutting-edge technology from Netsmart was truly built for clinicians, and we are confident that our collaboration will help us to advance our mission of empowering individuals, families and communities to achieve optimal mental and behavioral health."

As part of their technology advancement, The Centers will leverage digital assistant technology and revenue cycle management (RCM) solutions to support their staff and improve operational efficiencies. The organization will benefit from utilizing RevConnect™ Authorization Automation which streamlines the electronic authorization workflow by determining if a prior authorization is required then submitting it directly to the payer via optimal submission route. With direct connections to 600+ payers nationwide and payers within the Provider-Led Arkansas Shared Savings Entity (PASSE), the solution eases the burden on billing staff and drives efficiencies around a top reason for denials.

“Organizations that are leaning into automation solutions today, are empowering their staff and clinicians for the future by enabling their team members to spend more time doing the meaningful work that is so important to them and the communities we serve,” said David Strocchia, SVP & Managing Director of Human Services, Netsmart. “The Centers is leading the way forward by investing in technology and their staff to meet the demands of healthcare delivery and support the wellbeing of the individuals in their care.”
