On December 8, 2009, the Board of Directors of Southern Connecticut Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) delivered a letter to Mr. Lawrence B. Seidman extending the invitation made on April 7, 2009, to him or a mutually acceptable designee, to join the Company’s Board of Directors from December 31, 2009 to March 31, 2010.  A copy of the letter is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
