Item 8.01 Other Events

On March 11, 2014, NextEra Energy Capital Holdings, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc. (NEE), sold $350 million principal amount of its 2.700% Debentures, Series due September 15, 2019 (Debentures), which Debentures are guaranteed by NEE.  The Debentures were registered under the Securities Act of 1933 pursuant to Registration Statement Nos. 333-183052, 333-183052-01 and 333-183052-02.  This Current Report on Form 8-K is being filed to report as exhibits certain documents in connection with the sale of the Debentures.
