AMERICAN AIRLINES REPORTS JULY TRAFFIC

FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines reported a July load factor of 87.0 percent, a decrease of 0.3 points versus the same period last year.  Traffic increased 2.7 percent and capacity increased 3.1 percent year over year.
Domestic traffic decreased 0.4 percent year over year on 0.8 percent more capacity.  International traffic increased by 7.8 percent relative to last year on a capacity increase of 6.5 percent.
American boarded 8.1 million passengers in July.
