Other Events
 

On July 29, 2010, LML Payment Systems Inc. (the “Corporation”) (Nasdaq: LMLP) learned that the United States Patent and Trademark Office had posted a non-final office action on its public Patent Application Information Retrieval (“PAIR”) website regarding the inter-partes reexamination proceeding with respect to U.S. patent #RE40,220 (the “Patent”).   As of the close of business on July 29, 2010, the Corporation had not yet received formal notice from the USPTO regarding the issuance of the office action.  Pursuant to the office action, 16 of the Patent’s 104 claims are now subject to reexamination and have been rejected.

On July 30, 2010, the Registrant issued a press release regarding  the non-final office action, which release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
