Item 1.01 | Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement. |
On October 3, 2008, MediciNova, Inc. (the Registrant) entered into a fourth amendment (the Lease Amendment) of its lease agreement (the Lease) with 4350 La Jolla Village LLC (the Landlord), the successor in interest to CA-La Jolla II Limited Partnership. The Lease Amendment amends the Lease for the Registrants headquarters located at 4350 La Jolla Village Drive, Suite 950, San Diego, California, 92122, and extends the Lease term for thirty additional months, from March 1, 2009 to August 31, 2011. The Lease Amendment provides that the Registrant will pay the Landlord a monthly base rent of $38,097.00 for the premises for the first twelve months, $40,002.00 for the second twelve months and $41,907.00 for the final six months.
