Item 9. Regulation FD Disclosure.
Simpson Manufacturing Co., Inc. disclosed today that it and its subsidiaries paid in 2003 to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP approximately $221,000 for tax compliance services and $222,000 for tax consulting services, the total of which was reported on page 17 of its 2004 proxy statement under the heading Audit and Related Fees and the subheading Tax Fees.
Simpson Manufacturing Co., Inc., headquartered in Dublin, California, through its subsidiary, Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc., designs, engineers and is a leading manufacturer of wood-to-wood, wood-to-concrete and wood-to-masonry connectors and pre-fabricated shearwalls. Simpson Strong-Tie also offers a full line of adhesives, mechanical anchors and powder actuated tools for concrete, masonry and steel. The Companys other subsidiary, Simpson Dura-Vent Company, Inc., designs, engineers and manufactures venting systems for gas and wood burning appliances. The Companys common stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol SSD.
