Item 8.01 Other Events
On July 6, 2005, Net 1 UEPS Technologies, Inc., a Florida corporation, issued a press release announcing the extension, for six months until December 31, 2005, of its contract with the North West provincial government to continue with the provision of administration, management and payment of social welfare grants in that province. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference.
