Item 8.01 Other Events.
 
 
On May 18, 2009, Performance Pricing, Inc.,  a subsidiary of Acacia Research Corporation, entered into a settlement agreement with Yahoo! Inc.  The settlement agreement resolves patent litigation, Case No. 2:07-cv-432 (LED), that was pending against Yahoo! In the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
